252072 2004-07-12 09:49:00 Sorry - typo in line 3. Should read:

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

252079 2004-07-13 03:12:00 If you have consistently fouled up dual booting to the extent of reformatting, perhaps no Linux is right for you. ;-) Can you not read instructions?

Since you have plenty of memory and a fast CPU use a live CD version. That won't touch your hard disk. DSE have a pack available now with (I think) Knoppix and Morphix CDs for $6.95.

252080 2004-07-13 03:18:00 I DID read the .txt on how to install it from there site but its all "Geek" talk

eg:
1. Create a directory named "mozilla" (mkdir mozilla)
and change to that directory (cd mozilla).

2. Click the link on the site you're downloading
Mozilla from to download the non-installer
(mozilla*.tar.gz) file into the mozilla directory.

3. Change to the mozilla directory (cd mozilla) and
decompress the file with the following command:

tar zxvf moz*.tar.gz

This creates a "mozilla" directory under your mozilla
directory.

4. Change to the mozilla directory (cd mozilla).

5. Run Mozilla with the following run script:

./mozilla

252081 2004-07-13 04:21:00 Try this:
Open up a konsole
Type:
wget ftp.mozilla.org
Or just click here (ftp.mozilla.org)

now, type:
tar xvzf firefox (Hit [Tab] to complete filename)
cd firefox
./firefox

This will run Mozilla-firefox

Let us know if you get that far...

Cheers
