251679 2004-07-12 11:02:00 Cheers for that URL - Looks like I can so I'll emerge qtparted or cfdisk at some stage and give it a shot :-)

Thanks

251680 2004-07-12 11:26:00 Would have thought a 30gb notebook drive in a caddy would have been a better choice, the caddies only cost 30 odd bucks, are smaller then a pack of cards and require no extra power supply.

Very tasty,They put usb flash drives to shame.

251682 2004-07-12 11:29:00 Ive got an external 120GB that whips the ass outa a deck of cards any day, but that's not the sorta thing I wanna be carrying around my neck ;-) Chilling_Silence (9)
251683 2004-07-12 11:38:00 So you’re going to be wearing the usb drive around your neck?

Have we reached a new level?

I would take the 30gb notebook drive, its tiny, lightweight, sleek, relatively cheap, and looks good worn as an earring.....

251684 2004-07-12 12:25:00 Well, now that Thumb drive formatting in multi-format is licked, can someone advice on doing the same sort of thing to an XD card. My camera is OK for graphics, but if I can just get another OS on the card, I would like to get spreadsheets and word processing to match. I expect the keyboard problems will be a worry, but I'll link the cellphone to the camera and errrrrrrrrr - -
May be a small delay with this.

251685 2004-07-12 22:11:00 ... I wouldn't know, but I would say, just make a new folder in the directory ;-) ~~~~~ s y ~~~~~ (2054)
251686 2004-07-12 22:11:00 ... well, thats what I've done anyway ~~~~~ s y ~~~~~ (2054)
251687 2004-07-12 23:07:00 You could make a new folder, but what fun would that be.

Aside from that anybody can read it without any hassles at all!

If the 2nd partition was reiser4 on OTOH... ;-)

251688 2004-07-13 03:01:00 Where's your sense of adventure? Why ask here? The experimental method is often referred to, very appropriately in this case (as it's a "Thumbdrive") as Suck it and See. Graham L (2)
