| 251669 | 2004-07-12 07:56:00 | Greetings, Ive just purchased a 128MB USB Thumbdrive - And want to know if its possible to partition it. I ideally want 64MB Fat (Readable by Windows) and 64MB Reiser4. I know it wont work out to exactly 64MB due to file allocations tables etc, but still..... This way I can do backups that no Windows user can read, nor the vast majority of Linux users without patching their kernel. It just means for me I'd be happy backing up my emails to it daily (Just have to keep the emails to under 60MB...) and still have room to store stuff readable by Win32 users :-) Possible or not? Worth the hassle or not? Pitfalls, comments or suggestions? Cheers Chill. |

| 251672 | 2004-07-12 09:21:00 | Yeah, you can get software for it but I'd rather not bother. Right now its working fine in Windows XP and Gentoo linux, and I dunno what installing Windows protection software would do to its linux read/writing abilities. Might just have to hit Google.... |
