251645 2004-07-12 03:58:00 Can someone point me to a site or article on setting up dual display, my graphics card is nVidia GeForce FX 5200. (I am not sure if it can be done with this card?)

Thanks

Terry

251646 2004-07-12 04:35:00 Can you give some details of your 2 displays? Your version of Windows (if you are running Windows)

That card *should* have a VGA and a DVI output.

Does one of your displays have a DVI input? If not you need a DVI to VGA conversion cable (from Dick Smith etc) to connect the second display.

Set it up for Windows from Control Panel - Display - Settings.
Make the second display adapter active, and select "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
Set the resolution and colour depth to you needs.

251648 2004-07-12 06:49:00 The cable you need is this one:

www.dse.co.nz

Thats assuming your cards DVI output is DVI-I (the connector has both analogue and digital signals), and not DVI-D (the connector only has digital signals). You need DVI-I for the second monitor.

The graphics card manual should tell you this.

Its easy to do.
