Is it possible to get a team viewer like software for multi-dvr to PC remote access that will enable me view any of the DVRs in the buses without downloading hence low internet cost? | peter maina (17224) | ||

On the bus, there should be software to remote into the laptop from your other laptop to copy the files but wireless would be slow. If the bus is parked in an area with WiFi you could copy it off while you're in the office ... | Nomad (952) | ||

There's only two ways of reducing bandwidth: 1) reducing the frame rate, quality or frame size of the video. (usually to unacceptable levels) 2) or by "previewing" a video with a JPEG snapshot. Usually this involves the software taking a JPEG still picture at some pre-determined trigger, such as a high-G force event (crash) and some time interval, like every 30 seconds. |
