| 1345563 | 2013-06-13 00:23:00 | Anyone know what this tool is or used for? Had it for about 20 years. Searched onilne, Images, etc, but nothing. It does not seem to match any of my punches, drifts, or cutting disc mandrels. Octaganol 100mm stem, and made in Japan, with symbol "EC" with a anchor/umbrella symbol (similar style to the Toyota Logo). Thanks. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||

| 1345566 | 2013-06-13 09:53:00 | You are right CliveM - rivet being the qualifier. Image search (www.google.co.nz) shows it to be a rivet press/removal punch housed in a bench "C" clamp for driving out brake lining rivets. Thanks. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||

Given his interests and career etc, it could be associated with 50's or 60's printing technology, or to do with eyelets etc in boots and shoes as he was a keen amateur cobbler.
