1345183	2013-06-09 02:58:00	I'm all for creating American alternatives. Big driver for that is the fact that anything american made is incompatible with the rest of the world. The xbox one is a prime example. a good 70%+ of its features are US only, same goes for iOS and a lot of its features such as passbook to name one (there are more but since I don't really use iOS I can't remember the rest) I used to have no problem with the idea the Govt was spying in on my comms and content, however the more I think about it, the more of a disgusting privacy and trust breach it becomes. I'm sure they would love to have it open to every one but you have big Gorilla (here in NZ at least) in the corner called Sky, TVNZ and MediaWorks who jealously protect their little media rights patch and will do everything to block the US and British media being available down here close to when it shown up north..	paulw (1826)

1345186	2013-06-09 04:05:00	i would say that google has more then iOS that are US only They used to, certainly the lack of Nexus availability is one but since they opened up the Play music store things got a *bit* better. To be perfectly honest though every single on of the bastards only gives the "full" experience to the US, none worse than the other and like paulw said the media companies here certainly don't help. Where's our Netflix? We have TVNZ ondemand that airs our crappy TV and doesn't work on mobile devices properly, well yeah there's the iOS app but Netflix has support for Android, WP, iOS, Win8 (RT and Pro) as well as xbox and playstation On demand has PC's and iOS.
