But strangely, they still make huge profits.

1366328 2014-01-29 20:47:00 as far as I know......
The latest round of Xtra spam arnt coming from xtra/yahoo's servers or from newly hacked a/c's

The contact lists stolen in the last round(2103) of breeched a/c's are being used to send spam to, via servers in Europe
But on Telecoms status page, they do mention more hacked a/c's , so who knows whats going on, maybe Telecom dont know themselves ??

For Telecom to move all that email, from all those email a/c's would be a huge undertaking. I guess they dont want to spend the $$ , or they are
locked into a contract with yahoo
British Telecom moved their customer email a/c's out of Yahoo last year, so it can be done.

1366330 2014-01-31 00:53:00 Usernames and passwords of some of Yahoo's email customers have been stolen YET AGAIN and used to gather personal information about people those Yahoo mail users have recently corresponded with, the company said on Thursday. Fixed the article for them :p wainuitech (129)

1366332 2014-02-02 20:56:00 FINALLY , an explanation as to why Telecom cant dump yahoo
Just how stupid where telecom to do this, it beggars belief.... :badpc::badpc::badpc:
This has to be the last straw.

"....When Telecom outsourced Xtra to Yahoo in 2007, it handed over the rights to the Xtra internet domain to Yahoo.
That means that if it now dropped the service, it could not guarantee customers would be able to retain their existing email addresses"

A banana for you monkeys at Telecom

1366333 2014-02-02 21:25:00 That shows the wisdom, of Telecom's 'Million-Dollar' CEOs. bk T (215)

1366335 2014-02-03 09:15:00 An explanation as to why Telecom can't dump Yahoo. Just how stupid were Telecom to do this, it beggars belief....

So Telecom need to do things the traditional American way and sue the pants off Yahoo for damage to their reputation and client base.

It's not like they are short of a bob or ten.
