1365178 2014-01-15 16:48:00 If you have docs or music files, I would copy them to something like a flash drive. Then do a clean install. Then put them back later. Depending on what made the files corrupt in the first place (it maybe the files or even the hdd), I wouldn't back everything up on C. How did you go with downloading the 8 or 8.1 ISO? Yes if any are infected. You might want to scan them before copying them back. Maybe even in a different OS like Linux or OSX.
Executables are more likely to be infected than media files, but you can always have things hiding somewhere...
