| 1346668 | 2013-06-22 03:36:00 | Am looking at our old light switch, it has 2 black wires in the letter N, then one red one in the "one way" and another red one in the "common" one and earth has a wire. I have a new light switch which looks like this www.gian.co.nz Anyone know which where the wires go in the new one? |

Put the black wires in their own connector away from switch, red wire that was in common into C, red wire that was in one way into 1, by keeping the black and green away from switch lessens the chance of a bang if you make a mistake :-) |

The two black wires can be connected into a terminal usually marked loop but I often put them in a connecter as he says. Any green wires (earths) are also usually put into a connecter separate from the switch as well. |
