252314 2004-07-14 10:54:00 Am hoping to install Linux Mandrake 10 in parallel to a Windows98 OS. Have got a 3 * CD set. Put in the first CD, which indicates that machine will be rebooted. Click 'OK' .... but nothing happens. What's going wrong - how can I get past this first hurdle (am totally new to Linux, but keen to leave MS!)?

Thanks

252315 2004-07-14 10:58:00 Just leave the CD in and reboot manually, (but make sure your bios is set to allow you to boot from CD as a first preference.) There may be 3 cd's, but it will still install quicker than Win !

Cheers

252317 2004-07-14 17:06:00 It's fun though :D
I just put in Fedora 2 and am using woosh on Linux for the first time right now, so I'm learning too ! Not too familiar with Mozilla anymore either, I will be happier with Firefox and Thunderbird I think
Enjoy it !
