252274 2004-07-14 06:43:00 Well who made the 250,000th post? They should get a prize.

Then again knowing BillyT he's been sitting all day waiting for PressF1 to tick over to 249,999 and then he made the 250,000th hoping to get a prize. ]:)

I just did a quick look, and it appears ~~sy~~ on this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) hit the 250,000 post - could be wrong tho :p

My calculations for this was, when I posted at 5.35pm I was post 250,003. Billy and Mrs Bump both posted at 5.34pm (posts 250,002 and 001) which leaves ~~sy~~ at 5.33pm with the 250,000 post :D

Bummer - missed out by one minute Billy :D

Congrats to PF1 for 250,000 posts in nearly 25 months. :)

Only this current look/style forum. PressF1 "The original" had been running for a few years prior to that.

252278 2004-07-14 07:36:00 How do you tell which is the 250,000th post???

If you have the thread map on and you hover over one of the links to a post, they have the number of the post there (#290291). According to that we are at over 290,000 posts.

252279 2004-07-14 07:42:00 No prize required, but actually kiki, you are partially right . I picked up on the post numbers and the approaching milestone at 249,994, so I prepared a 250,000th on my other computer .

I watched and refreshed on my main computer until the 249,999th appeared then hit post on the other box . It came up as the 250,000th which is exactly what I was after, but for no reason other than relevance . The 250,001st post wouldn't have been quite the same somehow .

250,000 is a Team-driven outcome, and is not attributable to any individual .

Cheers

:O Oh My God! :_| Tears cannot express my honour and delight ;-)

I was waiting for it after looking at the count last week, and wow! I made it. Great opportunity just to take this chance to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the help I have had over the last couple of years on PressF1. It's being great on a whole, and as BillyT says, roll on 50,000! ... But I say roll on 1 million :)

If I have really put in the 250,000, great thanks goes to kiki who posted to help in my thread, I was responding to kiki's post. Couldn't have done it with out you all others!

Time flys when you're having fun. I still remember myself posting about 20 times ]:) just to get one to hit at the right time with the PF1 clock after the countdown into 2002.

Good work team, keep it up, 50000 by end of year!?!? :D

Totally agree! Just had a second check, my post was 5:33pm, Billy T at 5:34pm... does that make me the 249999!? Last post before quarter of million :D

I think a prize should go to everybody! Pat yourself on the back ;-)
