252859 2004-07-17 00:09:00 i use windows xp and im having problems opening certain ports for application use with my router.

my router is a dick smith broadband router model XH1151. since this is a local brand i didnt find much luck with faqs on the internet :-(

does anybody know how to open ports using this router?

What are you using it with? ISP? I would take it back and get a refund, if it's just new.

Not entirely Kiki, that statement was according to only one person, KingWave - I don't think that constitutes the "worst on the market".

Kingwave's opinion of the router was due to disconnects with Woosh - which DSE address on their web site.

I use a DSE router, as do a few of my colleagues. I haven't had any problems with it and are happy with it.
