| 252647 | 2004-07-16 05:03:00 | Make sure that you get the same brand of chips as many boards are quite fussy with dual channel ram. I had to go through three different brands to get one that worked with my MB and that was reliable. In the end the cheaper brand was actually better but even then I had to slow the timings down some and increase the DIMM voltage a bit otherwise the PC was horribly unstable. Now it runs sweet as a nut. The memory speed in dual channel is not quite twice the speed as it is in single channel mode so it makes a huge difference. |
