| 253217 | 2004-07-18 05:46:00 | Hi there! Another problem. I have PC manual on cd with a video and text. All was allright. Suddenly the text file refused to oppen and PC asked to desable file security. Some weeks ago I downloaded security patches. So I assume that it might be the reason. Any way in the file property dialog box there is no security tab where it supposed to be. So I can't change that setting. OS is XP home. Any ideas? Taly |

| 253218 | 2004-07-18 06:26:00 | Go to control panel/folder options, on the view tab scroll to the bottom and untick "use simple file sharing". This will give you back the security option. | Berryb (654) | ||

| 253220 | 2004-07-19 22:47:00 | You have to be logged in on an administrator account or an account with admin rights. Under folder options you should have a tab called view. Do you have that? In the view tab there is a scrolling window called advanced settings, if you scroll to the bottom of this you should find the option to untick use simple file sharing. Let us know how ya get on. | Berryb (654) | ||
