You should give us more information so we can help better: Give an indication of your skill level Is the drive intended to be bootable? Or additional storage? What, if anything, have you done to prepare the drive? |

| 253101 | 2004-07-17 22:44:00 | First point - make sure that the link on the drive is set to "slave" Second - master should be on the end of the cable - slave in the middle plug. I always thought it didn't matter, until yesterday when putting another HD in, it did not find either drives with the cable other way round. Bye |

You must have accidently set one of the jumpers to cable select instead of master/slave. On one new hard drive recently even using a magnifying glass I had trouble determining the master/ slave configuration |

| 253104 | 2004-07-18 05:29:00 | Hi there! Thanks to everybody. It is fixed! The jumper was in the wrong place, first. Then I went to BIOS setup and found HDD autodetection. The new drive was there and had to be enabled as the first slave. Regards. Taly |
