| 253323 | 2004-07-19 09:50:00 | yeah, like kiki said an A64 3200+ is hardly the same as the AXP 3200+...the AXP 3200+ is slightly slower than the A64 2800+ ...and the difference between the A64 2800+ A64 and 3200+ is not just the clock speed, but also the amount of cache on the processor!! Simply put, the A64 will completely blow away the AXP.... You also have to decide on the socket type of ur A64, the newer one is the socket 939 which I m not sure if it is out here yet. If u can wait, I m not sure for how long... nvidia will soon release a chipset that comes with SoundStorm ...and that's the onboard sound u can get (almost on par with the Audigy 2s) with real time dolby digital encoding. cheers : ) |
