Well, I could be included in your idiot category, but not because of intentially mishandling a DVD getting it out of the case. Some ARE hard to get out and when I am fiddling with the disk/case I wonder why the cases are designed so that the DVDs are difficult to remove!

But the delamination problem does seem to be a manufacturing fault. No doubt this will be solved. After all it is only now, in 2004, that DVD players and recorders are becoming commonplace, imho.
