252953 2004-07-17 05:50:00 Hi, I need two users to be able to log on to the local PC (no network required), but I need to be able to log onto a domain. In other words, for two users I want it to be like there is no domain. I think this is possible, but don't know how.

I want to be able to do this:

Allan logs on to local PC:

Username: Allan
Password: [password]
Domain: FAMILY (this PC)

I log on to the PC

Username: George
Password: [password]
Domain: JGI-NET (my domain)

The computer that needs to do this runs WinXP Pro, the Domain Controller runs Win2K Advanced Server.

252955 2004-07-17 11:04:00 Try setting up Windows XP to log onto your domain but don't create accounts for the other two people and get them to choose to log on to the local PC each time.

To add the PC to the domain:
System Properties (Windows key + Pause, or Control Panel -> System)
Computer Name tab
Change button
Add it to the domain.

If you already haven't done so, set up the local and domain accounts.

Hope this helps.
