253738 2004-07-20 08:30:00 LOL! This reminds me of the time when I was tanked up one night and the next morning, my friend showed me this text message which he claimed that I had sent him. The message just a random jumble of characters; it was totally incomprehensible.

Of course, I denied sending it until I checked my outbox!

253739 2004-07-20 08:44:00 has your phone got bluetooth support??

I assume that he has hacked you phone over bluetooth and used your phone to send the message controlled form his phone......

253740 2004-07-20 12:25:00 Yes, it's most likely a bluetooth hack - I read about this online at a UK site. Something about it being a security issue, but not really, considering the person has to be within ~3m to perform the hack. agent (30)
253741 2004-07-20 21:43:00 It's possible in theory, given that it's possible to one handset to send an SMS on behalf of another if the two handsets have been paired over Bluetooth. However, AFAIK, the Nokia 3100 does not support Bluetooth. Alasta (1420)

253745 2004-07-21 22:01:00 This has happened to me twice in the last two years.

I think the reson for this happening is that the sim card has its own memory. This is where the messages and contacts are usually stored. Some phones also have memory on their phone, so if the sim card is full, it would overflow to the phone, or if the user decided not to store contacts on the sim, they can store all the contacts on the phone.

What happened when you switched sim cards, is that the phone recognised a sim card that was not full, so some of the contacts were transfered to the new sim therefore reducing the cluter on the phone.

This is only what I think, from what I have seen. No guarantees that it is correct.

And I do not think Vodafone is to blame, "Vodafone network unsafe"??? I would say that the mobile phones companies are to blame.

253746 2004-07-22 00:27:00 I moved all my contact list from my sim to the phone
I wonder if that will be safe?
