| 253774 | 2004-07-20 02:33:00 | Hi. I have a wireless Internet connection via Wired Country which goes through a router & connects 4 computers. 2 of the computers are running W2K, 1 is ME & 1 is 98SE. What I want to be able to do is to network the 98 Machine so I can print & transfer files to & from. The problem is that my main machine(W2k) which has the Printer & scanner cannot see the 98 machine. I have set up shared drives & folders on both machines. What can I do? Another issue I have, is that my printer (HP 7660) cannot be accessed as a network printer, but it can be viewed as one, it demands an installation on each machine cheers |

To access a network printer you normally do need an installation on each client computer. That's so the clients can send printer files that the printer can use. ;-) It was much easier when there were just "plain text" printers. |
