253532 2004-07-19 11:26:00 Hi Folks

Just wondering whats the best windows utility that shows what the current cpu and case temp etc is?. Id rather check it in windows than have to check at bootup in the bios setup what the cpu temp is.

Cheers

p.s. just checked the pc temps. and it was 45 degrees for the case and 60 for the cpu.. its a barton 2500xp+ oc'd to 3200xp+. is this normal or what youd expect?

253533 2004-07-19 11:31:00 Sisoft Sandra should be able to tell you, but that can be tedious so get MBM5. kiki (762)

Sadly it is on it's last legs.
There is often software on the motherboard CD for that.

Was a pretty awesome program. You can still download it though and it's still useful for the motherboards currently in existence.

253536 2004-07-20 04:24:00 Thanks for posting this, Term X. I am also looking for this utility. Although not exactly pertaining to your Q,. I have used "HDD Temperature", a freebie, with my old Win98 PC. Details below - maybe someone will find it of interest.

>HDD Temperature™ is a disk utility that checks and monitors the temperature of your hard drives to help prevent data loss. Using S.M.A.R.T. technology included in all modern hard disks, this program analyzes and show its current temperature. You can setup maximum value of drive temperature and in case of over-heating HDD Temperature can display warning message. System administrators can setup e-mail address or computer name for e-mail and network messages about overheating.
