| 254088 | 2004-07-21 09:48:00 | Downloaded all the info on clean install of XP but what happens next. I have a DVD-RW cdRom etc--do I install the software for that first so it can read the CD for the Video drivers. Can I install the Radeon Video drivers over the XP base drivers without uninstalling them? Anything else I might need to know. Regards |

| 254089 | 2004-07-21 09:52:00 | Your DVD writer should work just fine with the XP drivers. If you find something in your system is not working correctly or not recognised correctly in Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager then install the drivers for it. But most components should be fine. You should install the Radeon drivers using the setup menu that opens when you put in the CD. | Sb0h (3744) | ||
| 254090 | 2004-07-21 09:57:00 | you wont need a driver to read CDs, you will need to install software before you can write CDs..... you can install the new video drivers over the old drives. next step should be to install all updates for XP . now it just a case of installing drivers for any hardware that windows can deal with, printer? scanners? sound card?? modem?? then just re-install all you programs , office , games..... then you can get back to life. |

And they work ON ALL ATI graphics cards where the ATI stock ones say somthing like "You do not have any ATI hardwhere installed" when intsalling them on some cards *when you do have ATI hardwhere installed* you can get them at http://www.omegadrivers.net/ |
