| 254004 | 2004-07-21 05:41:00 | This is a critical update that Windows have and I dont know anything about it what its for and do I need it. I have Windows XP home. It reads This software updates the background Intelligent Service (BITS) to v2.0 and update WinHTTP. These updates help ensure an optimal download experience with futhre versions of automatic updates, windows updates and other programmes that rely on BITS to transfer files using idle network bandwidth. Maybe someone can tell me in simple terms what all this means ?:| Thanks Bug |

| 254006 | 2004-07-21 06:40:00 | I installed 3 of 5 critical update last night (not the one above) and my firewall asked me to allow access to 'wxpsp2.microsoft.com' for each update as it installed. | Davesdad (923) | ||

| 254008 | 2004-07-23 03:51:00 | "... help ensure an optimal download experience with future versions of ..." looks suspicious. Presumably they have discovered that the present version ensures a "sub-optimal download experience" -- perhaps a downtime experience. :D I'm not sure that I would want Microsoft to maintain my car. Even if I had a car. :D |
