| 253843 | 2004-07-20 11:31:00 | Im using WinxpHome which has its own back up program and also have Nero. But the wizards for both only provide for back up to floppy discs - which would take about 14- and the reason I bought a CD/DVD drive was to obviate that and backup onto one disc. Any suggestions how I can do this please? |

When people tried to restore their backups made in Windows 95/98 they invariably couldn't access their data on another version of Windows, or even on another computer in some cases. What good is that kind of backup? Windows XP might be better at creating and restoring backups now, I don't know, but I feel a lot more comfortable using a third-party backup system which allows the data to be restored on a computer running any version of Windows, or maybe even Linux. |
