| 254112 | 2004-07-21 11:56:00 | The top of the line 64-bit amd cpu's out perform the top of the line p4 at approx two thirds of tasks, They run cooler and are far more efficient, from a tech point of view they are far superior to the p4. That’s without even taking the 64 bit into consideration, which as has been noted is only useful for bragging rights at this stage. If you want the latest and the best then AMD is the way to go, if you want value for money then AMD offers this right across the range. Im still trying to think of a reason to buy a P4. |
