253833 2004-07-21 20:11:00 what's the specific name of this virus please ? there are many 'backdoor.trojans'... drcspy (146)
253834 2004-07-21 22:18:00 nortons should say what it has done with the virus/trojen. did it remove it or clean it ??

it could be a case of reinfection. have you done a full scan? there may be a parent on your pc reloading it back on or your simply being reinfected from the web or another pc.

also give adaware/spybot a run as most antivirus's tend to flag spyware/malware as generic trojens.

also check firewall to see if your leting it through.

why can't format ??

253835 2004-07-22 04:45:00 i cant format because i dont have time to format it i've got school work and other things i need to do, three nav windows re-appear saying "Unable to reapair the file", then "Unable to quarantine the file, and i've enabled it to delete it so then it says "Access to the file was denied" i've already tried ad-aware and spybot but they both didnt remove it either Codex (3761)

253838 2004-07-25 03:26:00 Well i fixed it now, i bought Norton System Works 2004 and that fixed the problem Codex (3761)
253839 2004-07-27 07:54:00 I am having the same problem, Norton auto protect picks up, but a scan doen't find anything, bacdoor.trojan, in file hlpnghk.dll. also as shown here ctlnfm.dll. niether can be found. XP firewall is on, ad-aware finds a scanner, but it comes right back, spy-sweeper does the same, I have followed the instructions from symantec ie latest updates & signatures, removed entry from registry, I don't quite undertand how auto-protect picks it up but a scan doesn't j.w.knowles (3251)
