254268 2004-07-22 12:30:00 FAXABILITY:
Unless you have two telephone lines, the fax machine will not receive messages while you are online. With Faxability you do not get TWO seperate telephone lines. All you are paying for is the priveledge of having a seperate ring tone so you don't rush to answer your phone everytime your friends send you a fax transmission.
If you are online, your fax will not receive faxs - or you will be unable to send faxes as well

254271 2004-07-22 23:02:00 I thought they also held faxes until the line was free, isn't that part of the faxbility service? Means there are no busy signals and when you are offline the faxes come rolling in.
robo.
PS I hate faxes, I want to burn my fax machine.

254272 2004-07-22 23:06:00 how about a device like this

www.costco.com

it means you will have to pay for the call waiting service, but its cheaper then a second line

254276 2004-07-23 01:28:00 Am I being too simplistic to suggest that you set your PC to accept faxes while you're online? d.murray (276)

Unfortunately, yes.

Chris is dialled into the ISP, so any incoming fax call will get a busy tone.
