| 254676 | 2004-07-23 10:50:00 | I have a number of programs that over time have been uninstalled or moved on - some are left behind in the Windows XP Control Panel/Add Remove......when I click on to remove I get a message such as "system cannot find the specified..." and I can not delete. I have tried to find a way but no joy! Surely there must be a way of getting rid of unwanted/unused items in the Add/Remove list - would welcome a method to tidy this system up. Thanks. |

In which case you need a tool to edit the list,System Mechanic has a tool for doing so,also does a swish job of cleaning out a system and has a month trial. There are a number of apps which can do what you want, everyone has a favourite. |
