| 254734 | 2004-07-23 14:27:00 | Hi Suddenly my sound card stopped working, ididnt even notice. ive checked sound and audio devices in control panel removed driver by going to device manager and let windows re-detect and install it. reinstalled direct X 9b. my speakers work fine coz i tried my other speakers & the speakers are even hooked up in right. what could be the problem, |

| 254736 | 2004-07-23 23:12:00 | if windows detected the card and reinstalled the drivers the odds are the card is ok (not always tho). last time i had this an over the top reinstall of windows fixed it. you could pull the card out and put it in another pc to test it. have you noticed anything else werid eg clock suddenly being way out ? sometimes bios gets a glitch in it (sometimes flat battery) and throws the settings all out and causes a few werid things. |
