255423 2004-07-25 23:59:00 Hi people can you help a friend of mine who has an old pc running Windows 98 with IE6 when she would try to connect to her isp. It gave the error 'Explorer.exe has caused an invalid page fault in kernel32.dll'. Even in safe mode we got the same error. I searched Microsoft Knowledge base followed the instructions in 296211 but that just made things worse now when the computer restarts all we get is the wallpaper and the error message nothing else help please overdrive_5000 (1684)

255425 2004-07-26 00:50:00 I actually have that kind of problem !!Explore.exe caused an invalid page blah blah blah.!!!At first i ignored it but then i found that some programs which i opened would pop up that error. After reading much stuff online it came to a conclusion that my computer is quite slow and thats what caused the error. After a few months. The computer became very unstable and i had to format it.
It runs smoothly now.Although the same problem exists. It hardly comes up!

255427 2004-07-26 00:57:00 before you do that you may want to test the RAM - faulty RAM can give similar problems - google memtest and download their free RAM tester programme - read the instructions first andrew93 (249)
