| 255840 | 2004-07-27 13:12:00 | Hi guys, this is a bit of an unusual request but I labelled this post as OT just to be on the safe side. I am currently studying a diploma in Airport Operations. As a course assignment I need to collect some information, tabulate the results and then make a few summaries from the data collected. Now they gave us some data but it's way to BORING for me. So if it wasn't too much trouble I was wondering if some F1'ers could... a) Post your machine specs, right down to your speaker setup. b) Your age, but not to be intrusive just note which age category you fall under. 1) under 18 2) 18 - 25 3) 26 - 35 4) 36 - 45 5) 46 - 55 6) 56 or above c) What is the primary use of your PC, gaming, word processsing, video editing/authoring, combination of the above etc. I need at least 50 responses... if that's at all possible... but I'll take whatever number I can get. Just to get the ball rolling I will start with my own specs. | 255841 | 2004-07-27 13:22:00 | Hi buddy , how's about a link to a form or something to fill in boxes etc to give you the info you need . Glad to help out , just need some more specific/ easy guidance about what is needed ... will we be privy to the results of the data collected? Good luck :) | KatiMike (242) | ||

| 255844 | 2004-07-27 13:30:00 | Chief Some members might be a tad reluctant to post their computers private details in a thread for all to scrutinise and comment on. May I suggest you post a throw away email addy that give people the opportunity to email replies :) > a) Post your machine specs, right down to your speaker setup. Which one do you want the spec's on, posting spec's on multiple machines owned would be valid? > b) Your age, but not to be intrusive just note which age category you fall under. This is a multi-choice question isn't it. Your age in years, how old you feel, what age you act and what sex[?] ;) Cheers Murray P |

| 255846 | 2004-07-27 13:35:00 | Hi KatiMike All you need to do is post what your system specs are... use my post as a guide and that should be simple enough. metla Unfortunately I cannot make up the data as I need to give references as to where I got the information from. Doing it in this manner will allow me to use the link in F1 as a reference for whoever is reading the report I have written. cheers chiefnz |

| 255847 | 2004-07-27 13:45:00 | Murray, I would think that if you don't want to post your system specs then don't. I am asking for members to volunteer the information. If you are at all uncomfortable with any responses I am asking for then don't reply. I am just trying to complete a task. This is an easier alternative than having to set up a questionaire (this is the other option I have) to ask people on the street about their system information. If my request is too much then I apologise and please disregard my request. cheers chiefnz |
