255871	2004-08-03 16:24:00	Well the info's good thanks guys . Spoke to the tutor the other day and he's quite keen on seeing what I come up with as far as conclusions is concerned . At the moment I will probably break it down to something like what are the most common combinations of use . . . gaming, word processing etc and will probably couple the specs (in a general fashion I won't be putting specific info in the final report) The main aim is to develop inferences (PC term for assumptions) about the data . So it would be something like . . . 20% of the respondants surveyed had a CPU speed of ***, ***RAM etc and the main use was blah blah blah . . . . 10% had more than 2 PC's in their home . ETC ETC ETC The good news is I have enough data to get things collated into a decent report . . . . The aim of the paper was research . . . . basically collect data then develop theories about what was gathered . I understand the confusion . . . my colleagues and I were also abit hazy as to what all this research had to do with an aiport . . . . the answer we were given was business research and the interpretation of data and information to make decisions . Although the key to this exercise was actually gathering the data . A decision made is only as good as the information on which it is based . But as someone previously stated is there really ever any point to an assignment . . . half the time it's some weird idea dreamed up by a person for no apparent reason at all .
