1367207 2014-02-08 23:47:00 Yesterday and today I have had an error window pop up saying the file AppData\Local\Temp\PicasaUpdater_33b5.exe has been blocked. No doubt I will see this every day, now, because of the google scheduled daily task.

I'm picking that that will be because I have execution rights blocked using a script for cryptolocker prevention. I ran this script a few weeks ago.

Why on earth would Google just decide to use this folder after the cryptolocker scare?

Anyone else seen this?

Googling doesn't bring up any discussions but hard to believe that my system is the only one with this.

1367208 2014-02-09 00:01:00 Since its in the temp folder, it maybe the folder the install extracted the files to. When you installed it. Use ccleaner and delete the temp file/s Speedy Gonzales (78)
1367209 2014-02-09 01:14:00 Not so, Speedy, as these exe files have current dates. Also, I cleared that Temp folder yesterday and today. Just a minute ago the popup came up again and a PicasaUpdater_7242.exe file has now appeared in the Temp folder.

MBAM shows nothing.

Another interesting thing is that I ran the Google update tasks manually and nothing happened. So, maybe, these are not the culprits.

Mmmmm, bit strange.
