1366884 2014-02-04 23:18:00 Here’s a curly one for you.

I’ve just installed Active Webcam on a Win7 machine and can’t get it to E-Mail me the photos taken when motion is detected.

I have previously installed this programme on XP machines without a problem, but the best I can do here is a 501 #5.1.3 Partial Domain not allowed error message.

The smtp server is set the same – smtp.clear.net.nz - on all machines but I’m wondering if the Win7 firewall is interfering??

Any suggestions?

:thanks

1366885 2014-02-04 23:26:00 Probably means the client is sending localhost or some other non-FQDN in it's HELO, and the SMTP server is expecting a FQDN. inphinity (7274)

Ahhhh no, this machine has a wireless connection.

Normal E-Mails via Thunderbird are fine though, but you could be onto something. :)

1366891 2014-02-05 04:53:00 Dahhhh, I should have known better.

I restarted the computer for a completely different reason and the problem has resolved itself.
