1366752 2014-02-03 03:58:00 Have a Win 7 64bit laptop that will not scroll in IE11. Chrome working OK.
It also seems to just stop for about 10-20 seconds. This happens in any program but you have to be doing something.
I ran Malwarebytes and found nothing but it seemed to run the whole time and not stop. If I tried to do anything else it paused for the 10-20 seconds.
ESET 7 on it. Was using Trend Security and removed that with the Trend Remover Tool. ESET would not install as laptop infected. Ran the removal tools from ESET and got ESET installed and full scan found nothing.
Just had about 40 Windows updates and IE11 was installed with these.

When trying to scroll down with the mouse on the scroll bar in IE all it does is hightlight the web page.

I have updated the mouse driver.

Ideas??

1366753 2014-02-03 04:52:00 Try this -- Click Start, type in Internet Explorer. At some point ( generally after you type Internet Ex) you'll see the option Internet Explorer( no add-ons) - select that, see if the problem goes away.

If it does, then one of the add-ons is causing the problem. Open Internet Explorer Normally, go to tools / Manage Add-ons, disable them all, then one at a time enable, sooner or later the faulty one will stop you. Could be something under Toolbars and Extensions. MANY toolbars cause problems as well as cluttering up the page.

1366754 2014-02-04 03:03:00 Just tried that and didn't help. Only toolbar is Google. Uninstalling IE11 now. berryb (99)
1366755 2014-02-09 09:22:00 Update - Wasn't worth the time to muck around with this. I backed up the user data, reinstalled, updated and all well again. Don't know what caused it but reinstall fixed it!! berryb (99)
