1367073 2014-02-07 21:24:00 Hi guys,

Has anyone had any experience with the NetComm NF4V? Looking for a relatively low cost but reliable VDSL router.

Cheers

1367074 2014-02-08 11:19:00 DrayTek DV130 is your friend then. What is your ISP supplying?

I'm not a fan of most NetComm things. The NB6Plus4Wn was great back in the day, but _only_ that one, all other above / below it were awful :P

1367075 2014-02-08 19:23:00 Thanks Chill. Was thinking a DV130 but was kind of hoping for an all in one unit, however the DV2760n is a bit more then I want to pay.

ISP will probably remain as Telecom and I've heard of lots of issues with their device.

Currently have a NB6Plus4Wn and it's been serving us well for a little while now, starting to get temperamental though.

1367076 2014-02-08 19:35:00 The DV2760n is not cheap however I believe it it still good value for money. Mine runs very nicely. CliveM (6007)
1367077 2014-02-08 23:26:00 Yeah they're not cheap coz they're the best. They'll stand up to a real beating and I've never seen them miss a beat.

Go with the DV130 + a Gargoyle router. Whole setup only cost ~$190?

1367078 2014-02-08 23:36:00 Thanks guys, not planning to give it a beating, just want something reliable that I don't have to worry about.

Yea could go the two device route, if no single device is that great for sub $300. I do have a TL-WR1043ND sitting around not doing anything.

1367079 2014-02-09 20:46:00 Yeah they're good devices! Use the DV130 with that :) Chilling_Silence (9)
