1478390 2021-07-01 06:51:00 My aged mums doc practice upset her badly today .

They've been trying to force her to have a cognitive test for ages, and threatened to write the NZTransport to take her license if she didn't go .

So she asked me to come . Nurse refused to allow me to sit in, saying "we don't do that here" and threatened to refuse my mum if I didn't stay out - in full view of their Patient Rights poster .

needless to say my mum is about to change doctors .

She doesn't have dementia BTW . . . .

1478394 2021-07-09 00:07:00 I find most nurses are condescending no matter where one encounters them.

Veterinarians the same.

Unsurprisingly, (no-one died) HDC flicked it back to the practice.
The practice manager wrote saying she "absolutely refutes all allegations" and they "did nothing wrong" and the situation remains.

Never mind, my mum has signed up with a new GPs place. Nurse practitioner there is nicer.

Pathetic. Makes the case for carrying an audio recorder and keeping them accountable.

1478397 2021-07-11 04:15:00 Well, they all stick together, in their little club.
She's moved practices anyway so **** them.

Sounds like that practise manager has been taking lessons from Jacinda!
