1478273 2021-06-27 22:18:00 I hope that you have your children vaccinated against TB .

When I was at school in the 50s we had a mate who was crippled with TB .

We were lucky . We received an oral vaccine . It was a red colour but I don't remember if it had a taste .

TB is still very deadly - 1 . 7 million die of TB each year . And you thought Covid-19 was deadlywww . newscientist . com:

1478274 2021-06-27 23:23:00 You may be confusing TB with Polio? That was an oral vaccine - pink liquid. TB is treated with antibiotics and is curable. SWMBO used to do the data at local DHB for the nurses who used to have to visit people and observe them taking the drugs.

Thank you, Ken. I stand corrected. It was polio. Do you remember if it had a taste?

1478277 2021-06-28 00:58:00 At my primary school in the 60's, they vaxed the whole school , in the school hall . Measles vax .

Nowadays , being more enlightened , we have measles outbreaks . No more mass vaxing in schools it seems .
We have some schools rampant with head lice : as its not "PC" to single out kids & make them get their head lice treated , so just spread it instead .

Going backwards, the population is getting more stupid as time goes on . 'Covid vax makes you go magnetic' (some actually believe that)

1478278 2021-06-28 03:24:00 I would be a lot more interested if instead of just reporting case numbers they were honest enough to report how many people are actually sick given that most have to be tested to know if they have the virus anyway. At the present time it would appear that the prime aim of our so called experts is to frighten the population into using the tracer App and also to be vaccinated.
On a brighter note it seems that as Wellington, where little or nothing is happening, has our news media fully occupied I guess that India along with the rest of the known world are now all doing OK.

Just look at Thailand, they've been one of the most successful countries to keep COVID at bay but they're having a bad time at the moment.

TB is a lung disease . Polio was the one that crippled you .
There is a vaccine:

People with TB may not have any symptoms . When symptoms are present, they include fever, prolonged cough, coughing up thick or blood-stained phlegm or blood, swollen glands, chest pain, night sweats, weight loss or poor weight gain, anorexia (lack of appetite) and malaise (tiredness) .

There are resistant forms now though .
