1474516 2021-01-13 03:47:00 SWMBO has a keyboard that has a $ sign but no £ sign.

In Office Word you can go to Insert then Symbol and then it's easy to insert a £ sign.

But what do you do if you don't have Office? Is there anywhere you can go to access a £ sign?:help:

Normally I'm lazy enough to search for pound sign and then copy/paste from google. If it's something you might do semi regularly though you can find the decimal code for it, and use alt+code on the numeric keypad. - So it's alt+0163 = £

www.alt-codes.net e%20ALT,or%20copy%20paste%20the%20character.

1474519 2021-01-13 04:13:00 You can use alt codes, add an alternative keyboard (its software to change your normal US keyboard to a Euro type one, you can set up multiple keyboards and toggle them when needed) , find it in character map and copy paste it or copy and paste it from text, etc.

And you maybe able to create your own dictionary word for it, e.g $$ could get replaced with £ if you set it up like that. Which would probably be a method I'd take if it works.

1474520 2021-01-13 05:18:00 Character Map, it's on all the Windows operating systems as far as I know.

Look for it in MS search, not on Win 10 at the moment so I can't tell you exactly what to do.

Or Start/Accessories/System Tools/Character Map.

Yes that works really well but in Win 10 it is Start/Windows Accessories/Character map
