| 1479044 | 2021-08-01 21:38:00 | Having read that link BM it's not surprising little work on UV and Covid has been done. it looks far too dangerous to have humans exposed to it for any length of time which is what would be required to have much useful effect on Covid virus particles. Yes, I agree that exposing humans to it directly would be dangerous, but using it in Air Conditioning ducts where it is confined is another story. |

| 1479047 | 2021-08-02 01:27:00 | Something I find a little disturbing is the finding that vaccinated people can still catch and spread covid. This is worrying from 2 perspectives - those vaccinated will behave differently, in that they will take far fewer precautions with how they mix and circulate among the rest of us, will be more likely to travel and socialise widely, will be less conscious of hand / cough hygeine, and will largely be asymptomatic while spreading it (so also less likely to consider getting themselves tested). This might ultimately result in very large, widespread outbreaks that we are powerless to arrest, with those spreading it being more resistant to calls to limit their activities because they consider the risk to be very low for themselves. Maybe not so bad for those vaccinated, but potentially catastrophic for those that have refused the vaccine and then become sick, overwhelming the health system (which will largely shut down the more routine med care processes we take for granted). The impact could be felt far wider than just those suffering covid. |

Some are actually essential for life, they're not all bad things that make us ill. Wait for the new RSV to gain traction. Or whatever next years new one will be. |
