A program that has stuck in my mind from the early 1950's was a Si-Fi adventure series called "Journey to Mars" and its follow up "Lost in space". I think it was a BBC production and was notable for the first use on radio of electronically generated sound effects. |

Not only are they for kids, adults will like them as well. But I did not know he was on You Tube. Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely have a listen.:D Yes that's true I think I have every book he wrote on my bookshelf, lets face it a house isn't a home without a full or overflowing bookshelf. I also have all of the Goons as .mp3 too. |

As well as the Children's Request Session on Sunday mornings ( Flick the little fire engine, Sparky and the talking train, Little Toot, Diana and the golden apples, and The pokey little puppy). |

Take it from here, Laugh till you cry, Radio Roadhouse, The Goon show, Hancocks half hour, that was usually Sundays. Saturday varied with ones like Ben Hur. Cleopatra. Weekdays at nite plenty especially from 9.00pm and later. like Wake of the Red Witch, Hitler's Treasure. Kids programs like Dan Dare, Biggles, The Nth Planet. All seem to come to an end about 1964 when TV took over. Still got a set of disks somewhere of Journey into Space and a cassette of Life With Dexter.
