Personally I blame the hardly necessary layers of beaurocracy who seem to exist only to line their pockets and create costly rules to justify their own existance. Think how much the hospitals would have saved if they hadn't spent all those billions on consultants in the last four years I agree we have layers of waste, but supporting more waste is hardly the answer. :groan: |

Disclaimer, I know alot of people here in Otaki where it's more beneficial for them to stay at home instead of working. Adding in housing support, single mum support or whatever, community card benefits etc, alot of them are getting as much as me doing a 37.5 hour week. Regardless, most of it goes in landlords pockets who up the rent because they know WINZ will pay it |

And that's over 4 years, so presumably multiple 8 week courses. Just think how many houses could be built if we stopped paying for emergency housing |
