| 1478426 | 2021-07-03 21:43:00 | same size as sparrows with pointy wings. Picture? Colour? Shape? Waxeyes have green/yellow under wings. Fantails fly close to the ground often. Sparrows DO that too...they're always all over my lawn straight after I mow it....bugs perhaps? |

Swallow never settle, just flit down and up again, catching the insects that hover over the different types of food we put down Even the pretty fantails will hover and land, grab whatever and fly off. We have three regular fantails', one has a full black tail with just one, that's one white feather in it's tail. I like the gold finches mostly and the 'weed seeds" they like seem to have been eradicated from our backyard, lol. Used to fill out the "bird survey" every year, but they don't seem to bother now.
