How would I go about testing or fixing this?

1474084 2020-12-30 07:17:00 Installing a 3rd party codec pack is my last resort, seeing as I don't have unsupported file problems - I'd rather stick with the Windows built-in codecs if possible, especially as there really shouldn't be any problems using them on a standard Win 10 installation. Having said that, is there any way I can uninstall / reinstall the default codecs, before looking at 3rd party options? Chikara (5139)
1474085 2020-12-30 17:44:00 If you are still having a problem after trying out all you can think of a system reset is likely to do the trick. Just be sure to have a copy of any passwords you may require to reinstall programs that are not included in the windows installation before you do it. CliveM (6007)
1474086 2020-12-31 01:10:00 provided the audio is the only issue, i would install codec pack before doing a system reset.
no idea how to deal with windows built in codecs, the 3rd party is almost always better.
