| 256715 | 2004-07-30 10:21:00 | Hi Folkz :-) ive got a 4 year old soundblaster live card which iive always been happy with.. Got a new box with this motherboard ga-7n400-ll with onboard sound. i havent put in my soundcard as ive just gone with the onboard, but now i do want to put my old soundcard.. do i have to uninstall the current onboard sound drivers (realtek ac/97 drivers) first or can i just put my card in and disable onboard in the bios ? cheers :-) |

Have done similar myself a few times ... if the SB card dies , just take it out and use the on-board sound while sourcing a new card ... hope this helps :) | KatiMike (242) | ||
