This is a difficult topic and I'm endeavoring not to respond to Ted, above. I meant the whole bunch of Palestinians who are dispossessed people in their historical homeland. They are used as political pawns by Arab activists to constantly undermine the security of Israel. They are financed and encouraged to wage a terrorist war which need not happen. The media overlook the fact that many Arab (Palestinian) people live peacefully within Israel, co-existing with their Jewish neighbours. This isn't news-worthy. Indeed, in the anti-semitic stakes, the Arabs and Jews have lived peaceably in the Middle East for centuries. Oddly, it is the Europeans who have historically instituted pogroms, ghettos, and outright murder against Jews. But never mind the facts, TV pictures rule. Whatever we may think of the Americans, thank goodness they have stayed loyal to Israel. |
