I dont know if it is still the same now, it's been a long time since I was in Germany, but the main railway station, der Hauptbahnhof used to be in the town centres, and the centre of all information at das Verkehrsampt, the travel/accomodation/general information office. So if you arrived without prebooked accomodation, or just wanted information that was the place to head for. Thus in all German towns and cities, there are people all the time asking the way to the Hauptbahnhof. On one occasion, in Hanover I was accosted by this character who asked me in German with an English accent how to get to the station, so I answered in English, but he didnt understand. It turned out that he was from Schlieswig Holstein on the Baltic, an area where the Angles set out from to invade Briton, which they then re-named Angleland :) So with his Low German and my English/German we could understand one another perfectly. Some years later, my wife joined me whilst I was working there, and one sunday morning when wandering around Wetzlar (where the Leitz factory is), I said no-one has yet asked us how to get to the station. Within 5 minutes a family came along and stopped us to ask the way to the Hauptbahnhof. |

But we do not have film footage and witnesses compared with the evidence from Germany. The Nazis were also fanatical about keeping records. There is no doubt that pogroms against Jews continued in various intensities throughout the 70 years of Communist rule. My question is why do our media fail to understand or explain Israel's absolute need to defend its people? The Jewish people finally have a home state but are surrounded by millions of Arabs who want them annihilated. The poor Palestinians are the meat in this sandwich. |
