256795 2004-07-30 11:59:00 Do you have anything ticked under the Startup tab? If so you will have to remove the tick if you wish to have "normal startup". tommy (2826)
256796 2004-07-30 12:04:00 remove the tick?

Normal startup means running everything that is under the start up tab, which means ticks on everything, not ticks on none.

256797 2004-07-30 12:56:00 Under start-up i have got tcm...taumon..ps2..a2guard..NvCpl...and igfxtray..i unticked sum of these but next time i start they are back jase12 (4868)
256798 2004-07-30 13:00:00 Of course they are, your trying to force it to do a normal startup, which means running them all.

Simply untick the ones you don't want running and leave it as selective startup.

Sorry, I meant to say "restore" the tick, not remove it.
