| 256671 | 2004-07-30 08:20:00 | i just recently reinstalled my soundblaster live into my system, im pretty sure it is just a generic soundblaster live (thats all it says on it), but when i go to install any creative drivers for it, it says "cannot find soundblaster card" despite the fact that the windows device manager shows it under audio devices | lagbort (5041) | ||

| 256675 | 2004-07-30 09:08:00 | Uninstall the AC'97 drivers first then shut down the system and insert the card, then power up and install drivers. From what you have said though it's already picked up the soundcard though? If you're running WinXP, it should have picked up the soundcard. Try running an audio cd or an mp3 file to see if sound comes out, if so, then you don't need the Creative CD. If you want the Creative Media Player (or whatever they call the thing), use WinAmp instead - http://www.winamp.com Hope this helps you out. Winter |
